Auto CAD Drawing of Chest of Drawers

In Auto CAD class we made the chest shown above. This drawing was made by using CAD. First we started out by drawing a rectangle that was 55x40. Then I started at the top of the drawing by creating the angles using the arc command with a radius of 3/4 and using offset to create the lines through out the drawing. Each drawer was made by offseting lines by 1". Every drawer was different in size ranging from the top drawer being 9 1/4" to 10 1/2" at the and bottom drawer. In this drawing I used the circle command to make the chests hardware. This was done by creating a circle that had a diamiter of 2. After creating the first circle I offset the circle by 1 1/2 to create the inside. I then used the copy command to make all the other drawer pulls. The bottom of the drawing an ogee foot. The ogee foot was hard for me being new to auto cad; so my instructor walked us through how to construct the foot. This foot was complicated for me. I used a range of different circles to make the arcs shown above in the drawing and we trimmed and out the unwanted areas.
